In the Name of Wildness takes you to the American national parks, exploring the cult of wilderness. Alongside a renowned historian and philosopher, as well as a ranger in Yosemite National Park and a manager of a wolf sanctuary, we will discover the reasons behind this fascination for wilderness, but also its darker sides. What if we, too, were wild?

This movie is the fifth episode of the documentary series In the Name of Nature, which explores the many reasons for protecting the natural world by meeting leading thinkers and people working on the ground across our beautiful planet. The series follows a round-the-world journey undertaken by the director and her husband in 2016–2017.
