In the name of well-being
Episode 3 of the serie In the Name of Nature
What if, tomorrow, doctors prescribed a walk in the forest rather than an antidepressant?
In the name of well-being takes us deep into Japanese forests and urban parks, alongside scientists investigating the beneficial effects that our sensory encounters with nature have on our physical and mental health. What are the impacts of a “forest bath”? Can listening to birdsong improve our well-being? Does everyone have equal access to nature?
This movie is the third episode of the serie In the Name of Nature, which explores the many reasons for protecting the natural world by meeting leading thinkers and people working on the ground across our beautiful planet. The series follows a round-the-world journey undertaken by the director and her husband in 2016–2017.
